Nieko Torres came to Louisville in August 2024 and serves as a Senior Performance Coach.  He oversees performance program design and implementation for Baseball and Men’s Golf.

Nieko comes to Louisville after serving as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Tulane University from 2022-2024.  While there he was responsible for the performance programs for Baseball, Track & Field, and Women’s Tennis.  Nieko has also had stints at Florida A&M University as the Director of Olympic Sports Performance and Mississippi State University as a Graduate Assistant working with numerous Olympic sports.

Nieko received a master’s degree in Health Promotion from Mississippi State University in 2020.  He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science from West Virginia University in 2017.  Nieko holds certifications through the NSCA, Precision Nutrition, and OnBaseU.  

Nieko is originally from Riverdale, NJ.
